This is the website of Laurens van Rooyen, (film) composer and pianist. Since his father gave him a piano on his 7th birthday music fills his live. Van Rooyen became well known for his splendid piano performances and his compositions such as the internationally well known Just a simple Lovesong and Imaginary landscapes. On this website you will find information on Laurens and his concerts, albums and piano books. On the 30th of june 2011 his new CD, The Romantic Piano, was presented to Hans Wijers, CEO Akzo Nobel. Part of the revenues of this CD will be donated to the South African Townships. Van Rooyen is also writing a book. You will find more news about CD and book on this website shortly.
